8x10x3/4” original acrylic painting on canvas

I must admit, I was at first a bit disappointed by the bird activity in our backyard. Our home in South Carolina backed up to a wooded park and our bird feeder attracted numerous birds year-round. We had some sort of sparrow (mostly brown) that discovered our Montana feeder and became regular guests, but that was about it. Then, just the other day, I looked out our window and saw not one but three blue jays! I was astonished. Turns out blue jays will make appearances in Montana in the winter. Who knew!?

Since blue is my favorite color, seeing their vibrant feathers made my day and inspired this sweet painting.
