Mr. Titmouse at our Window
Mr. Titmouse at our Window
8x10x3/4” original acrylic painting on canvas
One of the best things about our home is the bird feeders outside of our kitchen window. At every meal we watch the sweetest birds partake in their breakfast, lunches, and dinners too. My girls will cry out “I just saw a Hummy!” Or, “Look! An adolescent cardinal!” I honestly didn’t know what an adolescent cardinal looked like until a few days ago, when we watched a mother cardinal feeding her large baby in a bush adjacent to the feeder. She would pluck seeds from the feeder and then hop over to the bush and plop those seeds in her baby’s mouth.
Every day, I’m reminded that these are the things that matter — watching birds with my family, having meals at a table, making art, enjoying art and connecting with the people I love.
I hope this painting reminds you of all of the good stuff, which just may be right at your window (whether in or out) as well.
