Wake and Wing
Wake and Wing
8×10×3/4” (horizontal orientation) original acrylic painting on canvas
Inspiration behind this series:
I’ve always loved the water—the way boats move with it, their reflections shifting and shimmering on the surface. They carry stories—of work and rest, of journeys taken and tides turned. Birds flock toward them, drawn by the promise of life just beneath the waves.
When Brandon and I spent a weekend in Georgetown, SC last month, I couldn’t stop noticing the boats—their graceful lines, weathered wooden frames, and the rhythmic slosh as they coasted through the water. We spent hours at the Maritime Museum and wandering the riverwalk, soaking in the colors—cool blues meeting warm creams, their wakes playing hide and seek with the sun.
I hope these pieces bring a timeless sense of the sea’s beauty and movement into your home, a reminder of its ever-changing presence.
Thank you for letting me share them with you!
