The combination of hydrangeas and lemons never disappoint. I now even have a set of faux hydrangea stems from Hobby Lobby as a backup for when the real deal get too droopy too quickly. A bag of lemons is a regular on my grocery order, because they’re cheerful and refreshing in water or just sitting out for all to see.

We’re in an “in between” season, where we will probably be moving. (My family is incredibly happy and thankfully healthy, and I’ll be sure to fill you in on all the details as they emerge). In this time of feeling a bit unsettled, with more questions than answers it’s so reassuring to surround myself with beauty that does not disappoint, knowing that ultimately my hope in our Lord is the sure anchor regardless of where we live. And, that a bowl of lemons and fresh (or fake) hydrangeas will bring a smile no matter what.
