Right after I left my salaried job, to paint full-time I released a collection of landscapes. This leap of faith to leave a “sure thing” income, came after the birth of my youngest daughter with much excitement but some butterflies as well. God gave us the sweetest wink when the first painting to sell that January of 2020 was titled, I Shall Not Want. When I look at the marsh landscape, I’m reminded of the faithfulness of the tides, coming in and out at their set times, creating homes and food for countless creatures and beauty that never grows dull. But moreso of the faithfulness of God who created this setting, who has provided (in seasons of heartache and overwhelming joy) His presence and grace.
