Inspiration:

I love celebrating the 4th of July every year. It’s not because I believe we live in an infallible nation but rather a deep sense of gratitude wells within me, which overshadows its flaws. I’m forever thankful for the reality of freedom which I experience on a daily basis. I can freely share that I love Jesus! I can freely create art from my home and earn an income which supports my family. This good literal land also yields so much beauty — from the vistas in Glacier National Park to the beloved marshes of the low country, to my neighbor’s hydrangea bushes that are about to burst into bloom. I get to live and breathe and create in this beautiful, sweet land of liberty and I never want to take that for granted.
