Creating custom pieces for you is one of the most meaningful parts of my career as an artist. It is an absolute joy to paint works which capture your treasured memories, places and even favorite colors/vignettes. My sincere hope is that these paintings become blessings to you now as well as to generations to come.

Here’s how it works:

Right now, you can reserve your space for 2025. Select the month that you would like the painting to be finished. Scroll down to the bottom and click “Add to cart.” This deposit price is the same for all paintings, regardless of size and goes towards your balance. You’ll receive a confirmation email, so you know you’re all set! I will then email you one to two months before your painting is created and make sure we have determined your size preference as well as communicated about any inspiration photos as well as any colors from your home design that should be incorporated. There is no rush, but you are welcome to send photos at any point for feedback between now and then to kpartassistant@gmail.com.

FAQs

Do you work from photos?
I love to work from photos. A simple photo on your phone can become a treasured painting.

If taking a new photo of your child(ren) for your commission, I highly recommend doing so in strong natural light (overcast or lots of shade is not ideal). Have them walk away from you, stand or dance and take lots of photos at their level. We want to capture natural childhood joy without anyone smiling at the camera (great for photographed portraits but not ideal for these paintings). I can change out backgrounds and definitely clothing colors. I am not a traditional portrait artist, meaning that I do not create paintings of posed people facing forwards. I truly enjoy how painting subjects from the side or behind invites the viewer in and creates a timeless scene.

What if I don’t know what size I want?

That’s not a problem! You have plenty of time to measure your walls and decide what will be ideal for your space. I am also happy to offer suggestions if you give me the wall dimensions along with a photo or two of the painting’s location.

Can you incorporate colors from my décor?

Absolutely! If you send me photos of fabrics, rugs, furniture, wall color, etc., I will make sure they compliment your custom painting.

What will you paint as a commission?

I am happy to create paintings of people, animals, landscapes, interiors, tablescapes and anything similar to a work of art that you’ve seen me paint in the past. I do not recreate exact copies of my previous work, but certainly am willing to create art that is similar in style and color palette.

Do you ship?

Yes! Shipping is available anywhere in the US and Canada for commissions. Shipping costs are dependent on your painting’s size. Once we determine the size, I am happy to give you an estimate and offer reduced shipping prices for all originals.

What do I do now?
To reserve a space, you will send a $200 deposit towards the balance (which isn’t due until your painting is finished and you love it!). When your painting is complete, I’ll send you painting preview photos for feedback. Once the balance is paid, I happily ship your custom painting (or deliver locally).
