‘‘Twas the night before Christmas…” and the sweet preparations were finally complete. It was time to carefully place the last gift and rest under the glow of the twinkling tree. Christmas Eve is still my favorite, as I think of carols sung in a candlelit church, children tucked into beds, the busy-ness over and the slow morning of robes and wrapping paper and “thanks be to God!” ahead.
